Colorado has become synonymous with craft beer, and for good reason. With over 400 craft breweries in the state, Colorado is home to some of the best and most innovative breweries in the country. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or simply enjoy a cold pint on a sunny day, there’s no shortage of breweries to explore in the Centennial State. In this post, we’ll take you on a tasting tour of some of the best local beers in Colorado.

Our first stop is Denver, the craft beer capital of the world. With more than 150 breweries in the city alone, there’s no shortage of great beer to be found here. One of our favorites is Great Divide Brewing Company, located in the heart of Denver’s RiNo neighborhood. This award-winning brewery offers a range of styles, from classic IPAs to barrel-aged stouts. Be sure to try their flagship Yeti Imperial Stout, a rich and flavorful beer that’s been a fan favorite for years.

Next up, we’re headed to Fort Collins, home to some of the most well-known breweries in the state. One of our favorites is New Belgium Brewing Company, famous for their flagship Fat Tire Amber Ale. But don’t stop there, as New Belgium offers a wide range of beers, from their tart and fruity Sour Saison to their hoppy Voodoo Ranger IPA. While you’re in town, be sure to visit Odell Brewing Company, a family-owned brewery that has been crafting award-winning beer since 1989.

Continuing our tour, we’re heading to Boulder, a city known for its beautiful scenery and excellent craft beer. One of the must-visit breweries here is Avery Brewing Company, known for their bold and flavorful beers. Try their Maharaja Imperial IPA, a hoppy beer that’s not for the faint of heart, or their White Rascal Belgian Witbier, a light and refreshing beer that’s perfect for a hot summer day.

Our final stop on this tasting tour is the mountain town of Breckenridge. While it may be known for its skiing, Breckenridge is also home to some excellent breweries. One of our favorites is Breckenridge Brewery, which has been brewing award-winning beer since 1990. Try their Vanilla Porter, a smooth and creamy beer that’s perfect for dessert, or their Agave Wheat, a light and refreshing beer that’s perfect for a warm day.

In conclusion, Colorado is home to some of the best craft breweries in the country, and this tasting tour is just the tip of the iceberg. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or simply enjoy trying new things, there’s something for everyone in the Colorado craft beer scene. So, grab a friend and start exploring – you never know what delicious beer you’ll discover along the way. Cheers!
